We continue to deliver on our strategic goals to modernise our technology and provide an excellent customer experience by constantly making our online services more innovative, user-friendly and easy to access.
In 2023–24, we upgraded existing systems and developed new ones to support several changes to Victorian taxes, including land tax, payroll tax, the Victorian Homebuyer Fund, windfall gains tax and casino tax.
Key technology developments in 2023–24 included:
- continuing work on modernising the platforms that customers use to engage and transact with us. This year, we completed a proof of concept and detailed planning for our future revenue management platform
- improving our phone system, making it easier and quicker for customers to get the answers they need
- enhancing our technology platforms to protect the information we hold and developing the next phase of our cyber security strategy
- working with Service Victoria and the Department of Government Services to take part in the Australian Government Digital Identity System (AGDIS), which takes effect on 1 December 2024. The AGDIS will provide a new, secure and convenient way to verify your ID online, making it easier for customers to access our online services
- leveraging data management platforms to continuously improve the quality of our data, making sure we get it right every time.
